Here are a couple of fairly new Social News websites, SocialMedian and Twine.

Social Median

Social Median has been growing thanks to some excellent examples of getting the users involved in reviewing and shaping varius elements of the site. By implementing the ability to follow other users and incoporating “@” replies in the comments system, they have created much more of a community feel than you might find on other sites. Social Median’s adoption by some fairly high profile social media personalities such as Louis Gray and Michael Fidler is surely a vote of confidence in the continued usefulness of the site.

Twine

Twine is more of a bookmarking service, which allows you to create “Twines”, essentially themed collections of links to resources. By subscribing to targetted Twines, you can be sure of getting updates related to a very specific area of interest.
